ClavisHome offers an optimal solution to investment service providers wishing to offer an up-to-date online trading system of high standard for their clients. Users may perform stock and OTC trading via the Internet linked to a front-end software system, where their decisions are supported by real-time prices and a  sophisticated diagram drawing application. Clients may monitor their orders and the evolution of their portfolios 24 hours a day. They may query their realized and unrealized results, and create reports, statements and diagrams.

Technological background

The application is of thin client format, which is served by an application server operating independently from Clavis. It consists of two components. The first component is responsible for querying data (Query module), and the second is responsible for displaying (WEB2 type interfaces). The two components may be installed on an application server or two independent servers – in accordance with the expectations regarding security levels. The two modules communicate with one another via EJB calls.
The Internet-based application is connected to a robust front-end system, the ClavisOMS, which is an application optimized for fast stock trading with its own database independent of the back-end system but being synchronized with it continuously. The procedures stored in the database record and execute the orders, and collect the data necessary for queries and reports. Timed processes and batch processing help automatization and the increase of performance. The use of Oracle and MS Sql database manager is equally supported.
